报告摘要:
Abstract: Attribute-based encryption has the potential to be deployed in a cloud computing environment to provide scalable and fine-grained data sharing. However, user revocation within ABE deployment remains a challenging issue to overcome, particularly when there is a large number of users. In this work, we introduce an extended proxy-assisted approach, which weakens the trust required of the cloud server. Based on an all-or-nothing principle, our approach is designed to discourage a cloud server from colluding with a third party to hinder the user revocation functionality. We demonstrate the utility of our approach by presenting a construction of the proposed approach, designed to provide efficient cloud data sharing and user revocation. A prototype was then implemented to demonstrate the practicality of our proposed construction.

Dr. Joseph Liu received the Ph.D. degree in information engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in July 2004, specializing in cyber security, protocols for securing wireless networks, privacy, authentication, and provablesecurity. He is now a senior lecturer at Faculty of Information Technology, Monash University, Australia. Prior to that, he has been a research scientist at Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R), Singapore for more than 7 years.
His current technical focus is particularly cyber security in the cloud computing paradigm, smart city, lightweight security, and privacy enhanced technology. He has published more than 90 referred journal and conference papers including several papers in IEEE TIFS, IEEE Trans. on Computers, IEEE TKDE, IEEE Trans. on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Network etc. and received the Best Paper Award from ESORICS 2014 and ESORICS 2015. He has served as the program chair of ProvSec 2007, 2014, ACISP 2016 and as the program committee of more than 35 international conferences. One of his proposed schemes has been included in ISO standard in the area of lightweight cryptography.
